Edinburgh Airport
Edinburgh's international airport is situated on the outskirts of the city on the west side, near the Forth Bridge. The Airport has grown recently and has expanded into a well run compact unit. There are many ways to get to the city from Edinburgh Airport. There is a bus service to the city stopping at bus stops on route. Taxi's also operate from in front of the Airport terminal and will take passengers anywhere in the city (or the country ). A taxi ride can be expensive, but is convenient and quick.
For those of you whom are travelling further afield there is extensive car hire available from Edinburgh Airport. A hire car in Edinburgh can be quite useful and the traffic is not that bad. The biggest problem is parking in the city centre. Whilst the city is quite compact there is much to see around and about the city and golfers will find a rental car very useful to travel out to some fabulous golf courses. Edinburgh Airport only has one terminal building and once passed through the formalities of customs and baggage collection passengers will enter the arrivals hall. There are plenty of Airline buses that run to the city centre terminating at Waverley train station, stopping en route.
